What are the step I should follow to use FCRemote For Presentation?

After downloading FCRemote For Presentation iPhone app from the iOS AppStore, you will need to do the following to use it effectively:

  • Download & install "FCRemote PPT Connector" software, which handle the communication between the iPhone app and the controlled PC, you may download it from here
  • Make sure that both the iPhone/iPod Touch and the PC to be controlled are on the same network.
  • On the controlled PC, run "FCRemote PPT Connector" software.
  • On the iPhone App, tap on the "Connect" button, this will take you to the computer discovery page, you should see your computer listed in that page, just tap on your computer name to connect to it.
I have successfully installed "FCRemote PPT Connector" software, but it's not working properly or not working at all, what should I do?

In order to use "FCRemote PPT Connector" software there are some requirements your have to meet, which are:

  • The running operating system should be Microsoft Windows Vista or higher.
  • Microsoft Powerpoint 2007 or higher should be installed.
  • .NET framework 3.5 or higher sould be installed.
  • Bonjour Network Service Software, this is included in Bonjour Print Services or iTunes Software.
Can I control presentations on MAC computers?

Currently FCRemote For Presentation can control presentations on Microsoft Windows computers ONLY. MAC support is coming soon to FCRemote For Presentation. if you want to follow up on that please send us email to inquiry@fcware.com

I cannot find my computer in the discovered computer list, why is that?

FCRemote For Presentation uses Bonjour network service discovery to find computer over the network, so in order to use this feature you must install Bonjour Network Service software, which is included in Bonjour Print Services or iTunes Software.

Can I use FCRemote For Presentation if the my computer is not in the discovered list?

Yes, you still can use "FCRemote For Presentation", you will just need to enter the IP address of the controlled PC and the TCP post to be used in the connection, you may find these information in "FCRemote PPT Connector" software, just double click on the software icon on the task bar to show its window, which contains these information.
